08 October 2014 to 25 October 2014The ultimate mountain medicine course, the path of which follows the Everest Base Camp Trail up the Khumbu valley to base camp itself, situated in the shadow of the world’s most iconic peak.
The 2014 course is to be directed by Dr Martin Rhodes, DiMM instructor and Antarctic Logistics and Expeditions lead medic and Dr Rachel Anderson who is an Emergency Medicine registrar in the UK who has worked in the expedition environment in Nepal and Antarctica.

11 January 2015 to 30 January 2015Aconcagua is the highest point on the American continent and the tallest peak in the world outside of Asia. Rising approximately 4,000 ft above its surrounding peaks, Aconcagua, “The Stone Sentinel”, dominates the rugged Andean landscape. The ascent to its summit offers spectacular views of the Andes mountain range.
Our medical expedition will be following the Horcones Glacier, we’ll attempt the summit on the northeast aspect of the mountain.

The 2014 Dive Medicine course will be held in Belize in association with Blue Ventures the award winning marine conservation organisation and includes diving on the remarkable UNESCO listed ‘Blue Hole’
This Septembers Expedition Medicine course on Dartmoor is delighted to be welcoming Dr Anna Bågenholm – the ultimate polar survivor and led by EWM is delighted to have Dr Alex Rowe, the companies newly appointed UK Medical Director.
Alex is no stranger to world of expeditions and remote medicine but his specialist subject is as the crew medic for the RNLI Lifeboat based out of Brixham.
Also onboard is Dr Matt Edwards of London Air Ambulance HEMS and AMREF Flying Doctors fame will be joining us on the next Dartmoor Expedition Medicine course in September – Matt has an amazingly broad range of experiences to learn from…
