Dan Grace

GP & Expedition Medic

Dan is based in the Brecon Beacons and works as a portfolio GP, event and expedition doctor. He is a trainee BASICs doctor and works in medical education and simulation. Dan holds the International Diploma in Expedition and Wilderness Medicine, from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow and the Diploma in Tropical Medicine and Hygiene from Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine. He is also a fellow of the RGS.

Dan has provided medical cover at multiple UK-based, endurance sports events, the Kenya Impact Marathon, based in Kericho, Kenya, and in the Canadian Yukon, supporting several groups of young people on expedition with the British Exploring Society. He is also proud to be the volunteer medical director for The Virtual Doctors, a UK based NGO that offers remote telemedical advice to clinicians in rural clinics and hospitals in Zambia and Malawi
