Emily is a Senior Nurse specialising in Critical Care with a passion for humanitarian work. Her interest in humanitarian work began after volunteering in an orphanage in a small village outside Mombasa, Kenya where she introduced medical records for the children and simple health and hygiene improvements i.e. washing hands before meals and treatments for common parasites.
In 2017 she completed a Diploma in Tropical Medicine at Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine and then went on to work with Raleigh International Tanzania supporting hundreds of volunteers working on sustainable projects in rural communities and completing multiple expeditions through the Iringa mountains.
More recently she had been working with EMERGENCY NGO, in 2018 managing a Paediatric Clinic in Mayo Refugee Camp, Sudan and 2019 supporting, training and managing local staff in Anabah Paediatric Clinic, Afghanistan.
Emily currently works part-time for Capital Air Ambulance transferring patients of all levels around Europe and part-time for an agency in various Intensive Care Units.
