Paddy Mitton

Paddy is an expedition doctor and has worked for the past three seasons in Antarctica. He also works as a mountain guide in the greater ranges and has done for over twenty years.

When in the UK he works as a locum in both general practice and A&E. He holds the post-graduate UK UIAA/ICAR/ISMM Diploma in Mountain Medicine and is a member of the faculty. For four years he was the doctor and medical trustee for the Cornwall Search and Rescue. He has been lucky enough to work all over the world including the Himalayas, Andes, Alps and Antarctica.

At home in Cornwall Paddy spends as much time as possible surfing, climbing and hanging out with his kids. He has two children and tries to share his passion for adventure with them too. Paddy and his family spent a year driving from Cornwall to Cape Town in their decrepit 26-year-old Landcruiser.
