25 September 2015 to 04 October 2015
Join us from 25th September – 4th of October 2015 aboard the National Geographic Endeavour, a state of the art expedition ship for a CME accredited medical conference.
Explore this amazing UNESCO listed region in the company of some of the worlds most knowledagble experts and follow in the footsteps of Darwin,
To make the most of your 10-day Galápagos expedition, we offer plenty of choices, including some shore landings before breakfast and long hikes, short hikes or coastal explorations from Zodiacs and kayaks. Go deep water snorkeling in the wetsuit and snorkeling gear we provide – which are yours for the entire expedition – or try snorkeling for the first time in a friendly, patient environment. And if you don’t want to get in the water, simply climb aboard our glass-bottom boat for an undersea experience while staying dry. We have the resources onboard to add depth to your experience at any activity level – and all of them are included in the price of the cruise.
10 DAYS/9 NIGHTS – NATIONAL GEOGRAPHIC ENDEAVOUR
EXPEDITION HIGHLIGHTS
• Experience a place where animals live without fear of humans.
• Enjoy close encounters with giant tortoises, sea lions, marine and land iguanas and Darwin’s finches.
• Travel with a Lindblad Expeditions – National Geographic certified Photo Instructor on every voyage.
A new island to explore daily over the course of our expedition, and the promise of genuine discovery every day. Routing among the islands is always subject to Galápagos National Park approval — but our in-depth knowledge of this geography guarantees days steeped in joy, wonder and engaging activities.
Here is a representative sample of islands we may visit during your week on board:
DAY 1: Arrive GUAYAQUIL, ECUADOR
Arrive in Guayaquil by late evening. Overnight at Hotel Hilton Colón.
DAY 2: GUAYAQUIL/GALAPAGOS/EMBARK
This morning, fly to Galápagos and embark.
(B,L,D)
DAYS 3 – 8: GALAPAGOS ISLANDS
Although exact routing depends on the National Park Service, we may visit the following islands: (B,L,D)
BARTOLOME: This is an enchanting landscape where lava, mangroves and golden sand converge. Great walks and views abound, with a chance to snorkel with Galápagos penguins.
SANTIAGO: Santiago offers close encounters with Galápagos fur seals along with an opportunity to study the inhabitants of the island’s countless tide pools.
SANTA CRUZ: Look for blue-footed boobies, pelicans, sea lions and more. Enjoy walks in the highlands and encounter giant tortoises in the wild.
ISABELA: A small black sand beach offers wonderful morning swimming. Enjoy a more challenging hike over rugged shoreline and a shorter walk within an iguana colony. Kayaking and deep water snorkeling opportunities are on offer. Enjoy the opportunity to snorkel with sea lions.
FERNANDINA: This is the youngest island in the Galápagos and one of the most pristine tropical islands left on earth. Look forward to hikes over relatively recent lava flows, and spot marine iguanas, flightless cormorants, and Sally Lightfoot crabs.
FLOREANA: Snorkel among sea lions in the clear waters off Champion Islet. We may also find flamingos, pintail ducks and various shorebirds. Hike to a pristine white-sand beach, a favorite nesting site for sea turtles.
ESPAÑOLA: The exclusive home to waved albatross (seasonal) and particularly colorful marine iguanas, Española is also a paradise for Darwin’s finches, sea lions galore, and the famous blue-footed boobies. Snorkel and stroll along the island’s lovely beaches.
DAY 9: GALAPAGOS/DISEMBARK/ GUAYAQUIL
Disembark and fly to Guayaquil. Late afternoon and evening are free to explore the bustling port city. Overnight at Hotel Hilton Colón. (B)
DAY 10: GUAYAQUIL/HOME
After breakfast, disembark and drive to the airport for flights home or on to other adventures. (B)

Spend a week exploring Antarctica aboard our fully‐equipped, ice‐strengthened ship.
40+ years of Antarctic expeditions assures you of the best possible experience.
Few things compare to a hike, Zodiac cruise or kayak foray amid the icescapes of Antarctica.
Glide around enormous tabular icebergs by Zodiac, walk along beaches covered with thousands of penguins, and kayak amid abundant wildlife. Learn about the Lindblad legacy, dating from 1966, as you travel with Ice Masters, Expedition Leaders and Naturalists who have hundreds of journeys under their parkas. On every expedition, a National Geographic Photographer will give talks and one‐on‐one photo tips in the field, where it counts. An Undersea Specialist captures rarely seen footage of life beneath the icy surface for viewing in the comfort of the ship’s lounge. Join us on our classic Antarctica itinerary.
DAYS 1‐2: U.S./FLY OVERNIGHT TO BUENOS AIRES, ARGENTINA
Arrive in the sophisticated city of Buenos Aires, reminiscent of the European capitals, with a vibrant flavor all of its own. Check into the excellent Caesar Park Hotel and join an excursion to view the Beaux Arts palaces on grand boulevards of the old aristocracy; the public art, parks and renowned monuments. We’ll experience the Peron story—in buildings, squares and the Evita Museum—so linked to any understanding of contemporary Argentina.
DAY 3: BUENOS AIRES/USHUAIA, ARGENTINA/EMBARK
The morning’s LAN charter flight offers rare views of Patagonia before landing in Ushuaia, where we embark our ship. (B,L,D)
DAY 4: AT SEA
Awake this morning well into our journey across the Drake Passage. Lying between Cape Horn and the Antarctic Peninsula, the Drake holds a distinct place in maritime lore. Sometimes misty and gray, other times calm and clear, crossing the legendary Drake Passage is unforgettable. (B,L,D)
DAYS 5‐10: ANTARCTICA
With long hours of daylight at this time of year, we make the most of our six days exploring the Antarctic Peninsula and its surrounding islands. The schedule is flexible to give you the best experience possible. Our veteran expedition team and their expert knowledge of Antarctica’s waters enable us to take advantage of the unexpected. We are out daily — experiencing Antarctica with all our senses as we walk, cruise in Zodiacs, and venture out in kayaks. See seals wallowing on the beach; hear the cries of penguins, and the huge, nurturing silence of this pristine place.
