All this is out there for the taking – this is your route to adventure.
Overview
Our Expedition & Wilderness Medicine course set on the shores of the stunning Lake Bohinj offers the same great content as our UK-based courses with additional workshops, a night out bivvying and more time outdoors.
You’ll spend over half your time focusing on practical group work and there’ll be a chance to explore the mountain behind the hostel. Our team of experienced expedition medics will deliver various lectures covering the essential content you need to know out on expedition anywhere across the globe. At the end of the Expedition and Wilderness Medicine course we’ll spend a night out building our camps and bivvying under the stars, your final challenge will be a search and rescue exercise designed to test your skills in combination.
Accreditation will be offered through the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh. We estimate 30 hours of CPD will be awarded for the complete course.

A “must have course! ” one of a kind learning sphere that outweighted my expectations. Just the right program where I was able to connect my professional background and interests in one avenue.
The course is jam-packed with necessary learning Module. It is my pleasure to be Inspired and learn form flexible, friendly and skilled faculty. Coupled with veriety of creative techniques and teaching strategies made learning easy and interesting. Most of all, the shared life experiences from these professionals fuels the flame to aspire more on this field of experties.
I am looking forward for more WEM course to attend.

Poppy Allen –
I thoroughly enjoyed this course. It was varied from beginning to end with a good balance of lectures and practical workshops. The staff were incredibly knowledgeable and always happy to answer any questions. Topics that I was hoping to be covered over the week all were – as well as additional topics that I hadn’t necessarily thought of before. Accommodation was basic but all that was needed as you spend so much time doing activities (who wants to spend time in their room?!). The kitchen staff were very accommodating and made good alternative meals for vegans/ allergy sufferers. I had a great time – thanks!
