Winter Adventure Medicine
14th – 21st March 2026 | Bygdeträsk, Northern Sweden
Step Into the Arctic
This isn’t a theory-heavy week in a hotel conference room. This is snow-shelters, sled dogs, and cold-water immersion in one of the most extreme terrains on Earth.
Led by World Extreme Medicine and our partners at Jådåt Adventure, this new course is designed to push your physical, clinical, and leadership capabilities in sub-zero conditions – and then push them a little further.
You’ll lead teams, manage risk in the moment, and adapt to challenges that simply can’t be simulated in the classroom. This is performance under pressure, made real.
What You’ll Experience
You’ll spend 7 days learning, leading, and living in the wild.
Expect:
-
-
Dog sledding across frozen terrain with your own sled team
-
Cold-water immersion drills with real-time shock management
-
Snow shelter building and ice navigation
-
Trauma scenarios in deep snow and low light
-
Field evacuation planning and Arctic survival skills
-
Leadership coaching under real fatigue and challenge
-
Fireside lectures and team debriefs each evening
-
