,دشت لوت :The Lut Desert, widely referred to as Dasht-e Lut (Persian “Emptiness Plain”), is a large salt desert located in the provinces of Kerman and Sistan and Baluchestan, Iran. It is the world’s 33rd-largest desert, and was included on UNESCO’s World Heritage list in 2016. The name is derived from ‘Lut’ which means bare and empty in Persian and ‘dasht’ which means plain in Persian. The surface of its sand has been measured at temperatures as high as 70.7 °C (159.3 °F), making it one of the world’s driest and hottest places.

In this webinar Luca will take us through why this is the mother of all expeditions, some of the scenery and conditions whilst trekking, the anatomy of the expedition (point to point) and some of the highlights and low lights along the way. Luca Alfatti is an advanced paramedic working within the UK NHS, he is also the Head of Operations for #Medics4Ukraine, who has delivered over 2 million pounds worth of medical aid to Ukraine.
