Trauma Medicine; there are many principles and beliefs around the management of trauma patients which have become established practice, passed down through generations of trainers without challenge.
Some of these are not based on any supporting evidence but medical practitioners like certainty and these tenets are difficult to unlearn.
This talk encourages us to get curious and ask questions about how we manage trauma patients by busting ten common pre-hospital trauma myths with case examples. It also reminds us that FOAMed in social media can equally introduce risk by encouraging a popular swing in management without being critically appraised or questioned systematically.
