What is B Corp certification and why is it important?
Becoming a certified B Corporation requires pushing the boundaries of your team. Which is why we applied. It’s not something that can be brought, gamed or manipulated.
As a business this process took close to 3 years, with our team working tirelessly to meet the rigorous B Corp impact assessment. All of which has been built on 20+ years of pushing the boundaries of medicine to enhance the training of healthcare professionals around the world.
It’s this level of independent scrutiny that makes B Corp certification so important in a world where many businesses talk the ethical and sustainable talk, without actually walking the walk.
The ‘B’ in B Corp stands for Benefit for All, and this is crucial. Its aim is to recognise purpose-driven businesses committed to being a holistic force for good for all people and communities. We are delighted to be a part of this mission.
How is B Corp Certification Assessed?
Businesses are measured using a process called The B Impact Assessment. This is split into the 5 impact areas shown below, covering policies and practices across the business.
Within this assessment are approximately 200 questions, the answers to which are verified by B Lab’s independent Standards Team. A minimum score of 80 points is needed to submit your assessment to certify as B Corp.
Workers
Our strong score of 22.5 points in the Workers category reflects our dedication to creating a supportive, inclusive, and empowering workplace for our employees. We offer competitive compensation, comprehensive benefits, and opportunities for professional growth and development.
Community
We scored 19.3 points in the Community category, showcasing our active engagement with and support for the communities in which we operate. We partner with diverse suppliers, and participate in community service and charitable giving initiatives.

Our score of 14.3 points in the Governance category underscores our commitment to maintaining a transparent, accountable, and mission-driven organisation. We have embedded our values into our structure and decision-making processes to ensure we consistently prioritise our stakeholders and our purpose.
Customers
We achieved an outstanding score of 27.0 points in the Customers category, demonstrating our commitment to serving our customers with integrity and providing them with high-quality, beneficial services.
Environment
Our 5.9-point score in the Environment category is a strong starting point for us as a newly certified B Corp. We’re excited to build upon our successes and dedicate ourselves to enhancing our environmental performance.
