FREE to watch: The Fundamentals of Hostile Environment Medicine

Humanitarian & Disaster Medicine

Scott King is a seasoned paramedic and tactical care instructor with over 22 years’ experience across the ambulance service, military instruction, and hostile environment training.

In this session, Scott joins World Extreme Medicine to discuss the fundamentals of hostile environment medicine, exploring what it really means to deliver care under fire, and why preparation, mindset, and simplicity can save lives when resources are low and pressure is high.

With a background in security, CBRN, and trauma response, Scott has delivered enhanced care both in team settings and as a solo motorcycle paramedic. His experience spans instruction for specialist police, UK military, and NGO humanitarian teams, as well as broader pre-hospital emergency care.

He regularly delivers hostile awareness and combat casualty care training on behalf of the UK Government, and is committed to preparing responders for the unpredictable environments they may one day face.
