What to Expect
Our basecamp at the legendary Joe Dodge Lodge puts you in the heart of New Hampshire’s majestic White Mountains. Known for exceptional hiking, climbing, and skiing, this storied region shaped the East’s pioneering mountaineers and now transforms our winter medics.
From the moment you arrive, our world-class guides will imprint decades of experience managing medical emergencies.
Over 5 days, we’ll push your boundaries through cutting-edge lectures and stimulating scenarios:
Day 1: Master arctic gear, emergency protocols, and field medicine essentials
Day 2: Apply skills treating hypothermia and cold weather trauma victims
Days 3 – 4: Lead complex search and rescue operations in extreme terrain
Day 5: Face an intense mass-casualty crisis scenario
The final full-scale simulation will synthesise everything you’ve absorbed. Our faculty will coach you through crisis decision making, forging an unshakeable confidence that you can perform under even the most extreme pressure.

Plan to arrive at our Pinkham Notch basecamp on the day prior so you’re rested and oriented for the intense training ahead. We’re situated at the legendary Joe Dodge Lodge in New Hampshire’s majestic White Mountain National Forest. The closest airports are Manchester and Boston Logan, with car rentals available.
February temps average -3°C (27°F) highs and -12°C (10°F) lows, but can plunge far colder. Having the proper extreme cold weather clothing and gear is critical both for safety and fully engaging in the tactical scenario training.
